Machine ☭ Woman (Technicolour / Where To Now?)

Russian-born Anastasia Vtorova a.k.a. Machine Woman is a sound artist and image maker who often collaborates with other artists. Her works are inspired by listening late night to the sounds of down beat minimal electronica while watching melancholy cinema from all over the world. She sets what has been deﬁned as the “waltzing the line between techno and avant garde”.

Inga Mauer is the new kid on the block. Coming from St. Petersburg in Russia where she is a resident DJ at the famous Stackenschneider club, she is now gaining more attention from Europe. The music she serves up comes from a place of love and knowledge in equal measures – no cheap thrills, just pure musical joy. Growing up in a remote village in the heart of Russia, Inga listened intensely to early Bunker Records, Cybernetic Broadcasting System (now intergalactic.fm), Trax, and UR recordings which have set the scene for her seductive sound, mixing blistering atmospheres with dark emotions, flirting with a wide range of genres like Industrial Techno, EBM, New Wave and Disco. This young talent is gaining a fast-growing reputation from Den Haag to Berlin, from Cologne to Tel Aviv, and completes a circle of influence as a much sought after guest on Intergalactic.fm. Not only a great DJ, Inga is also a truly restless producer, constantly recording lunatic jams and wild rhythms in a world without musical compromises. Expect great things to come this year when she starts releasing more music and begins to open your ears. She is currently under the wing of the Bunker Records team and works for Clone Records.

OTOLITH is a series of live spatial-sound performances with which Ankersmit explores the phenomenon of otoacoustic emissions. These are sounds that are created inside the ears of the listener, by the ears themselves, in response to certain stimulus sounds that he creates. These sonic hallucinations offer an intimate and highly disorienting acoustic experience.
